Tonight, the Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, under the direction of Prime Minister Philip Edward Davis, K.C., M.P., is making public the “Salary Review for Middle Management and Technical Officers” (May 2025).
This review is the result of a process initiated by the Prime Minister to ensure that every public officer is paid fairly, and that salaries across the public service reflect both the value of work performed and the realities of the cost of living. The review forms part of the Prime Minister’s broader commitment to modernizing public administration, promoting fairness, and creating a sustainable compensation framework that rewards dedication and performance.
The comprehensive analysis examines pay structures, increments, and equity across critical categories of the public service. It identifies disparities, proposes adjustments, and provides a clear roadmap for aligning pay scales to ensure balance and fairness across ministries and departments.
By making this report public, the Government continues its commitment to transparency and accountability. This process—initiated and overseen by the Prime Minister—underscores his continued focus on fairness, equity, and long-term sustainability for the Bahamian public service.
The Salary Review for Middle Management and Technical Officers (May 2025) is available for public access through the Ministry of Finance’s website and on the Office of the Prime Minister’s official digital platforms.
