Prime Minister the Hon. Philip Edward Davis, KC, MP, yesterday received the International Data Center Authority (IDCA) delegation on the occasion of signing a strategic digital economy and digital hub initiative for the sovereign digital infrastructure programme for The Bahamas.
The briefing follows a series of engagements in New York alongside the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), initiated by H.E. Ambassador Stan Smith, Permanent Representative of The Bahamas to the United Nations, where the Government and the International Data Center Authority first discussed a phased approach to strengthening The Bahamas’ digital infrastructure and digital economy.
The IDCA delegation included members from the IDCA Global Foundation, Aton Path, the U.S.-led flagship Accessible Energy Bank (AEB) platform, and the IDCA local partner, Bahamas Technological Services Ltd. (BTSL).
