Mrs. Janet Lissette (Lisa) Raquel Bostwick-Dean received her Letter of Appointment to the Senate today during a ceremony at Government House. “As a mother and citizen, I know that she will work tirelessly to ensure that we continue to provide greater economic and social opportunities for our people; to strengthen our democracy; and to make our country more resilient in the face of the multiple threats of the global climate emergency,” said Prime Minister Minnis during Monday’s ceremony. Mrs. Bostwick-Dean is managing partner at the Bostwick and Bostwick law firm and fills a vacancy in the Senate left by the resignation of Senate President Kay Forbes-Smith. Mrs. Forbes-Smith has been appointed Managing Director of The Bahamas Disaster Reconstruction Authority.
