Prime Minister Davis to Attend Forty-Ninth Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government

Nassau, The Bahamas – Prime Minister the Hon. Philip Davis will attend the Forty-ninth Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) from July 6-8, 2025, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The meeting will be held under the theme “People, Partnerships, Prosperity: Promoting a Secure and Sustainable Future.”

The summit will primarily focus on the escalating security crisis in Haiti and broader regional security concerns, with Caribbean leaders exploring urgent actions to address the violence caused by armed gangs and its impact on the Caribbean region.

Discussions will also cover climate change and climate financing, food security, and regional approaches to issues such as transportation, education, and governance.

Prime Minister Davis is scheduled to return to The Bahamas on July 9, 2025. The Hon. I. Chester Cooper will serve as Acting Prime Minister during Prime Minister Davis’s absence.
