
NASSAU, The Bahamas – The Honourable Philip E. Davis, K.C., M.P., Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, will travel to New York to attend the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The Prime Minister’s week-long programme will include the delivery of The Bahamas’ National Statement before the General Assembly, bilateral meetings with Heads of State and Government, and participation in high-level events focused on climate action, renewable energy, sustainable development, and regional cooperation.
Among Prime Minister Davis’s engagements are keynote addresses at the Global Renewables Summit and the Concordia Annual Summit, participation in the UN Secretary-General’s Special High-Level Event on Climate Action, and bilateral meetings with leaders including the President of Namibia, the Crown Prince of Kuwait, and the President of Kosovo.
These engagements provide an important platform for The Bahamas to advance its priorities on climate resilience, energy reform, equitable development, and global partnerships.
The Honourable Glenys Hanna-Martin will serve as Acting Prime Minister until September 24. Deputy Prime Minister the Honourable I. Chester Cooper will serve as Acting Prime Minister from September 25 until Prime Minister Davis’s return on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
