Prime Minister Davis to Attend CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting in Barbados

The Office of the Prime Minister advises that Prime Minister the Honourable Philip Edward Davis KC, MP, will travel to Bridgetown, Barbados, to attend the 48th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) from February 19–21, 2025.

At the meeting, regional leaders will focus on climate change, economic resilience, regional security, the situation in Haiti, food security, and other key issues affecting the Caribbean.

As the region continues to navigate complex global challenges, the discussions, policies and
strategies presented in this CARICOM Heads of Government meeting will contribute to the continued growth and development of members in the Caribbean Community.

While the Prime Minister is in Barbados, Deputy Prime Minister the Honourable I. Chester Cooper will serve as Acting Prime Minister. Prime Minister Davis is scheduled to return to Nassau on February 22, 2025.
