Digital Learning is a special edition of the Opportunity Hub focused on expanding access to digital learning across The Bahamas. Hosted by the Office of the Prime Minister, the session highlights key national platforms including Upskill Bahamas, DigiLearn Bahamas, and BAMSI Online Classes, connecting citizens directly with training opportunities, advisors, and enrollment support. Together, these initiatives are equipping Bahamians with practical skills, improving workforce readiness, and supporting long term national growth through accessible, flexible education.
The Government of The Bahamas highlighted expanded career and training opportunities at the Opportunity Hub National Apprenticeship Programme Edition held at the Nassau Village Community Centre. The event spotlighted the National Apprenticeship Programme, which combines accredited training with paid hands on experience to prepare Bahamians for employment in high demand industries.
Prime Minister Philip Davis and Minister of Labour and Public Service Pia Glover Rolle underscored the programme’s role in bridging the gap between education and employment. New apprenticeship cohorts are launching soon in construction, hospitality, clean energy, and medical services.
Prime Minister Davis visited the Tourism Development Corporation incubator to meet with Bahamian entrepreneurs building tourism products rooted in culture and local identity.
The visit highlighted a range of creative businesses using craftsmanship, design, and storytelling to turn Bahamian heritage into products with lasting value.
This work aligns with the Opportunity Hub’s focus on expanding access to the support, space, and pathways Bahamians need to grow ideas into sustainable tourism businesses.
Upskill visited the Edmund Moxey Community Centre as part of the Opportunity Hub’s ongoing outreach to connect Bahamians with training and growth opportunities.
The Prime Minister sat down with members of the National Youth Guard and heard directly how the programme is shaping their lives.
